Tranquil Pacifist Rage

sometimes i wonder where is our collective rage,
(the product of years of sadness)
i know we have to quitten it, pull shades over our eyes
to survive, to be happy, to be healthy
(and perhaps have the hope to thrive)
but sometimes, i wonder, when we see cruelty
(and worse, when we see necessary evil)
then how do we not feel enra-raged
at the systems, and at the God who supposedly
rules over everything
my faith fades yet remains
for one act of kindness can do what a thousand atrocities couldn’t
it can make the rage burn, yes,
but it can remind us,
the solutions exist too
in us.

Author’s Note: My hope is this poem reminded you that there is hope. Oh, the title is inspired by a Pinterest/Tumblr post.

Yes, I know Friday is Writing Tips day…but between shifting, periods, and an impromptu trip that I had to be a part of cuz reasons and listening to my body and just life in general, I was not able to schedule content right…so you get poems today and Sunday and extra posts next week. Thanks for the patience and have a joyous weekend.
