Teenage Musings

There are questions all around
everyone has different advice,
And lifestyle,
No one wishes to cause harm,
Or perhaps they do,
Torn between various relationships,
And desires and dreams,
And goals and aims and duties,
And wishes and cruses,
And the difference in opinions,
All these swirl in teenage heads,
And of those of children and adults perhaps,
But these internal musings,
Make us questions the purpose of living,
Perhaps now we have too much time to spend within our heads and hearts,
And once grown reality will,
Take away this miserable luxury,
Or maybe it’s a poet’s initiative,
To think about things that are, were, and can be,
See all the possibilities,
And then take a break from reality,
I don’t know,
What this is,
Teenage musings or those of a young lady,
But questions swirl in my head,
The ones to whom answers I seek,
And have within me,
Yet validation I need,
Trapped between the various lifestyle and opinions I see,
And experiences that have been or maybe.
How does one choose a path in life?
When one is filled with so much uncertainty,
In their hearts and heads and feeling and morals and opinions,
Is this one story or one of too many?
These are bland teenage musings,
From the diary of a twenty-something.
