The weather is beautiful, my friend says, sipping her tea
And I agree.
From the privilege of our warm three storey apartment,
The downpour, the thunderstorm- a work of art it is.
With the sounds of nature and strikes of lightning,
The smell of petrichor
Mingling with the aroma of pakode-fritters
And the relaxed monsoon convo-
It is _indeed_ beautiful
(But then why do I feel empty insideLike a hollowed out pumpkin?)
“I just love the sounds of a thunderstorm,” she carries on
And I agree.
(But then why do I feel empty inside?
WHY?
WHY?
WHY?
the grey skies, the dull light,artistic- but then why do I feel empty inside?)
Author’s Note: Happy festive season, do let me know what you’re celebrating this year and how! Remember if winter is here, spring can’t be far behind applies to monsoon too. May you be blessed with healthy communities and healthy prosperity.
