Trigger Warning- Mentions of Bloodshed
It is so easy to get caught up in life,
The daily ups and downs,
That out of sight often means out of mind
And the world’s problems become too far-
What can we do to help?
It’s still going on?
How?
Well, what can we do?
Let’s move on.
A thought, a prayer perhaps,
But it’s so easy to forget.
What dystopian reality do we live in-
Where bloodshed has become so common,
That it is news for a day or two
And then it’s back to normal,
Forgotten,
While the bloodshed continues.
Thank God for our communities,
Thank God for those working tirelessly,
So, others can rest,
And then those who work when they take a pause,
For without such community,
We would be living in a dystopian reality.

We all live in a dystopian world. All we can do is be optimistic for the change even though we know the reality
I would say we live in a flower world. It’s not yet a dystopia
