Alone

Your hugs engulf me,

Like a warm blanket

On a cold winter morning,

You smell like home,

I have forgotten what it’s like,

To be able to sleep alone.

Without your heartbeat in my ears,

Reminding of one of the reasons to live on.

A/N- This is one of the poems from “Book Two-Healing” of my latest book “A Tryst with Hope”. It shows how healing means accepting love and hope yet the dependence shows that there’s a lot left in the journey before recovery.  Let me know what you think of the poem!
