woman,
oh woman,
mother to some,
sister to another,
grandma sometimes,
aunty again and again,
an astronaut, a doctor, a writer,
an actor, a singer, a scientist,
woman,
oh, woman,
cook, cleaner, beauty,
student, scholar,
woman,
oh woman,
so many roles we can play,
so many roles we juggle everyday,
a many companions we find and loose and love,
a better world for us,
i hope our daughters see,
one where gender doesn’t bind us
to what we don’t want to be,
you can be a homemaker,
you can be a career woman,
you can be both
you can choose your fate.
