Wisdom, I pray for
Prudence, I learn
Life is a great teacher-
But books aren’t still outdone
What’s one life compared to many…
But!
Tread with care
These many lives are lessons
Sometimes taken to extreme
For entertainment
For education
Tread with care
For it’s your job
To eek out meaning
Meaning that adds to life, to beauty, to goodness and kindness-
But is also grounded in reality.
Idolize the dark lords, we may
But know they’re never to be emulated
Just tragic figures whose fates we toil to avoid
Idolize the chosen one
Aspire to be that kind
Yet know
From an empty cup only magicians can pour
You’ve to balance others’ needs with thine own
Needs, wants, desires, values, growth, safety, and well-being
Learn the lessons
Take the courage
But
Know the safety measures too
And try each day
To entertain, to spread kindness
To add value
To add joy
To leave the world a better place
But in that quest
Don’t forget to water yourself too
And those walking beside you.
This morn of wisdom and art
If you agree
I part for you-
Wisdom
Enlightenment
Joy
Self-actualization
Progress
Learning
And whatever else the divine can bestow with a kind hand,
And hope on this quest
We are adventurer in arms,
Together in friendship.
Author’s Note: It was the festival of wisdom and art, Saraswati Puja, a few days back and I wanted to share something with y’all. Still recovering from a surgery, but I am sure, posts will gain back speed soon. Read more of my work at Muses_Saga.
