Little Sister, Little Sister

My sister taught me you don’t need to be drunk to be free
To have fun
You need to be in the mood for masti, for joy, for serenity
Why she on the dance floor is a vibe, a mood,
A tiny hurricane packed in a body that’s perfectly suited to contain the multitudes
That are the facets of my sister’s personality,
Oh my sister
How wonderful are you,
I hope you grow wiser and your hair gets whiter
Without life tamping out that fire, that passion
That the anger turns without losing its head
The joy remains boundless
And that someday I see you in me
When I too find my serenity.
