T/W- Mentions of death
Atlas
Oh, you, yes you, young Adult,
Carrying the world on those rail thin shoulders,
Wouldn’t you take a break?
Breathe a little perhaps?
The world will continue turning if one day you don’t turn up-
Yet, you burn thing to light it up-
Perhaps, a moment for yourself ain’t the worst,
Yes, the more time you have for you-
The less you have to help-
But better burn longer and steadier
Than a bright flash?
Or you can work and work and work,
For every moment alit,
You are helping someone who might be at the edge
But isn’t it better to have a team?
Think, child, think-
It’s make the world better, not die in the process of it.
Author’s Note: Just remember to spend some time and effort on yourself when you can! Hope this was valuable. You can read more of my poetry in my books, which are available for buying and free online reading on Muses_Saga.
