You are Loved

Just a reminder, love come sin different forms.

I love you

My mother rarely says I love you
Instead,
She says, “did you eat today?”

My dad never says I love you,
Except when
He says, “I believe in you.”

My sister says I love you
Especially when
She says, “I got me this dress, from you.”

My found family says I love you
In between they
Say, “who hurt you?”

My husband says I love you
With every breath
Saying, “I will love you in every universe, in any circumstance.”

My readers cannot say, “i love you,”
But they scream and
Say, “Ahakdkdhd.”

I wish I could say I love you
But on days when I can’t
I’ve this verse to remind me
We don’t always have to,
We choose to
In words, in actions, in faith, in jokes, in solidarity, in support.

I love you.

Author’s Note: As I enter my 26th year, this is a reminder to me that I am loved and so are you. It can be difficult for people to love us right, accept us for ourselves, and respect us. But we must do that for us, we must cultivate a place where we can empower ourselves and that is extremely difficult but utterly necessary. I pray that everyone who reads this feels accepted, loved, and has all the chances to heal from anything that hurt them. You can read more of my work at Muses_Saga.
