blessings

when I count my blessings, my fingers run out

my teeth fall short, my toes are no use to me now

and so I open the door a little,

share some blessings

with my neighbour and their dog,

with the aunty on the chowk

with those that have enough

and those that don’t,

I left the blessings run on their bright little feet

all throughout my community.

Author’s Note: Have been planning a wedding- I am getting married!! Hence, been MIA. Going to return with lots of amazing writeups hopefully and until then, you can read more of my work at Muses_Saga.
