The Ocean to the Land

What did the ocean say to the beach?

My waves are a kiss, a caress,

(but they say I run away every time you try to hold on?

Do you hold too tight, you ask?)

No, my love, that is why I always return,

An eternal touch, a lifelong kiss, till the horizons meet

For you let me go, live free,

All you ask, is when the world ends,

I return to your hold, seep into your skin,

And this I promise,

As long as I have a say,

I will return your way,

No other, never, not in the night

Or the day.
