Long Distance Friendship

I know we stare at the same moon,
yet when I see its face, you are blinded by the sun,
and when the stars shine on you,
my sky is pink and blue,
i never thought distance would stretch so far,
that the same sky, the same cosmos,
wouldn’t be available to us,
to be together under the stars.

Author’s Note: This poem is dedicated to my sister. I know I have been MIA but that’s because I am recovering from an illness. To read more of my poems at no cost, you can head to Muses_Saga.
