25th Musings in Pink

Just a poem on my birthday. Aka musings on turning 25.

Dressed in the satin shades of Barbie,

I think of all that women can be,

A woman, now that I feel I can be,

25.

A weird age.

Culturally, I graduate from being a learner,

To a homely cottagecore girlie.

Hobbitcore, amiright?

25.

They say I have a fully developed frontal lobe now,

Yet I feel no more wiser or mature than yesterday,

Or a year before now-

Even though I am more experienced now

Than the young 24-year-old in green.

25.

An adventure perhaps?

Halfway to Bilbo’s Ereborian quest-

Yet further away from Lily Evans than I have been in the past.

25.

I wonder, what it’ll hold.

25.
